Mechanical engineering is a study which has
supported the development
of all industries and is playing a more and
more important role
in the technical innovation of today.
In order to meet the demands of various fields of industry, this department aims to give the students not only a specialized knowledge of mechanical engineering, but also the ability to make use of its practical applications as engineers. Therefore, importance is attached to such classes as mechanical design and drawing, engineering experiments, and manufacturing training. In addition, research in new fields such as Mechatronics and new or composite materials is also conducted in this department and available for students to study in several subjects in the curriculum. The department has a workshop where students take practical training in machining. This workshop also serves to produce experimental apparatus necessary both for graduation thesis by students and for research by the staff members.
