* Department of Ecomaterials Engineering

Global environment and resources conservation has been a matter of concern these days. The department aims at fostering engineers who will take care of materials engineering taking into concern the positive consideration from an ecomaterial point of view. Specifically, the department provides students with classes, among others, such as basic engineering subjects, Applied Mathematics and Physics, Computer Science, to materials subjects such as Ecomaterials, Metallurgy, Ceramics as well as Materials Processing and Solid State Physics, educating them to be creative engineers.

The department was reorganized in April, 1995, with its name changed from the Department of Metallurgy to the present. Students registered before 1995 are still regarded as belonging to the Department of Metallurgy.
