Japan, poor in its natural resources, should give priority to establishment of a state on the basis of creative industrial technology, that is to say, to the promotion of science and technology to build up intellectual assets. It is more and more urgent to both the country and human beings to foster competent and imaginative engineers who will shoulder the future technological development. Now in the 21st century, technical colleges, in cooperation with the industrial world and by striving to meet its demands, are expected to answer for bringing up all-round engineers with originality, internationality and enterprising spirit for the purpose of creating new technology. The mission of the teachers for a technical college is firstly to educate the students, followed by research and administration, in order for the school to be open, carry out its duties,and contribute to the local community.
